In the months of February and March Scott Taylor and David Pugliese once again ventured outside the wire in Afghanistan to get as many unique views as possible. From short exchanges with locals to interviews with NATO officials and Taliban clerics, the duo seeks to uncover a clearer picture of this struggling nation than can be seen from within the sprawling compounds deemed safe by NATO. A graduate of the prestigious Ontario College of Art and Design, Esprit de Corps' Vice President Katherine Taylor has been working as an artist for more than 20 years in the following media: acrylics, oils, watercolours, dyes, gouaches, marker rendering, pen and ink, collage, pastels and pencil.

Throughout her career, she has practiced her unique craft of bringing to life military studies in a manner that captures the drama and emotion of front-line soldiering - today and throughout Canada's history. Katherine has worked as a member of the Canadian Forces Canadian Artists Program and was commissioned to paint CF personnel training in Germany in 1989 and on peacekeeping tours in Cyprus in 1990 and Croatia in 1993 - it was during the latter the she witnessed first-hand the battle of the Medak Pocket.

As a freelance artist, Katherine has been commissioned by an assortment of corporate and military clients.
