“J-Squared” Secure Innovation Hub Grand Opening

By Doug Thomas

MP Jenna Sudds, Member of Parliament for Kanata and Parliamentary Secretary to the Secretary of State for Defence Procurement, praised J-Squared Technologies for developing “sovereign solutions” for Canada and for its defence investment. Senator Dawn Anderson of the Northwest Territories also acknowledged J-Squared’s CEO Jeff Gibson for advancing technology that will clearly benefit the North. Master of Ceremonies Cheyane Wicks, a veteran of both the Royal Canadian Navy and the defence industry, highlighted J-Squared as a diverse technology hub and company that invests in its people. The May 13th grand opening and ribbon-cutting marked the addition of 26,000 square feet of newly built space to the J-Squared campus, located just minutes west of the CAF’s Carling Avenue headquarters. In the coming days, new production capabilities will be live in J-Squared’s new facility. The site includes a dedicated secure storage area and the only MIL-STD-464 test facility capable of simulating nuclear-level EMP conditions. Anyone who has worked in heavy industry, travelled in a military vehicle, or relied on zero-loss voice data has encountered or benefited from a J-Squared product. The grand opening also celebrated the behind-the-scenes success of this 36-year-old Canadian company. With operations and interests across the country, this company of more than 120 people continues to grow. The J-Squared team looks forward to connecting with attendees at the upcoming CANSEC show.  Please plan to stop by Booth # 1721.
